FRENCHIES

The brief outlined for us to create illustration focused branding for a fictional restaurant or eatery of our choosing. We were required to design a name for the restaurant, an illustrated logo and five smaller illustrations/icons to accompany logo as additional brand assets.

My chosen restaurant is a french patisserie, specialising in delicious pastries, fresh breads and sweet treats. The logo and branding was based on the French Bulldog as its mascot. The design is clean and chic, in line with modern french style with subdued colours. The illustration within the logo and supporting graphics are  simple line inspired drawings. I went for an overall minimal style.

 

The name of the patisserie is called ‘Frenchies’. This name plays on both the style of the restaurant and the mascot, the French Bulldog. It is short and easy to remember, and I can just image people saying ‘let’s go to Frenchies’. It is also dog friendly.
